Long day's journey into donutland

Long day's journey into donutland

I like donuts. I like them so much I rode a bus from New York to Philadelphia to try the ones at Federal Donuts, which has been slowly, methodically, taking over that fair city with its fancy custom flavors (really, tehina?) and delicious fried chicken. My story about the 24-hour donut pilgrimage (primarily embarked upon to see my dear friend Kathy, who lives in Philly and has access to all the FedNuts her body can handle) is up now on Gothamist Getaways. Nom nom.

The Federal Donuts six-pack, top row: Sticky bun, Chocolate Strawberry, Marshmallow Marshmallow. Bottom row: Crumberry, Cookies & Cream, Chocolate Sea Salt. They did not look like this for long.
