My RookieUp mentorship
One of my favorite things is talking to people about the work they want to do. Another favorite thing is discussing the joys and occasional struggles behind freelancing.
It's why I founded my monthly Brass Ring Summit, where creatives can discuss their side projects and big ideas (if you're interested in attending, please email me!). It's why I started my Brass Ring Daily newsletter, a short news-free newsletter to motivate you in the morning.
And it's why I found the new platform RookieUp so intriguing.
The idea is to connect aspiring creatives with mentors who can help them with any questions—it's like constructive therapy for your work life. There are mentors across many disciplines: UX design, illustration, photography, motion graphics, web development, and yes, writing!
I'm very happy to involved as a mentor, and look forward to chatting with new (or maybe jaded) freelancers, writers, editors, entrepreneurs, and anyone who wants help clarifying their goals, launching a career, or talking through a story idea. Check out my profile—and sign up for a session so we can Google Hangout and get started.
