Things you should never say to an injured runner

In certain situations, it's hard to find the right words.

Maybe you just ran into a frenemy. Or someone you know is going through a crisis. Or maybe your friend is injured, feeling low, and depressed about not being able to run.

What to say...what to say...what to say?

In the case of the injured runner, the right words can be as elusive as that little Pikachu, or whatever it is people are hunting around the city.

For my latest piece for SHAPE, I wrote a little guide of things you should probably avoid saying to anyone on the injured list. My favorite: "I told you running was dangerous." Read it here.
